Malaysian pride! The MyKuali’s Penang White Curry instant noodles was recently crowned as the Number One in the Soupy Instant Noodles category by the NY Mag as judged by chefs and food writers.
The Strategist is NY Mag‘s product-specific online publication and in this article, they ranked instant noodles from all over the over and judge them in the categories of Best Soupy Instant Noodles, Best Saucy (Dry) Instant Noodles, and Best Spicy Noodles.
Opinions from American food writers and chefs were obtained to judge the noodles.

MyKuali’s Penang White Curry Noodles was nominated by Lucas Kwan Peterson, who is a food columnist for the Los Angeles Times, where he rated the noodles at number 2 after Indomie’s Barbecue Chicken in his “Official Instant Ramen Power Rankings” back in 2019.
“In my experience, you can’t go wrong with instant noodles from MyKuali. I like the white Penang curry MyKuali.”

“I like the white Penang curry MyKuali, which contains green chilies that give the white curry a satisfying heat.” he said.
Lucas also mentioned that the MyKuali noodles are easy to find online and at large chain-stores.
Meanwhile, according to The Strategist, the Penang White Curry noodles are available at Walmart at $15 (≈ RM60) for a pack of 4. Ironically, it is rather difficult to find it in our local stores.
MyKuali’s Penang White Curry noodles are the only Malaysian instant noodles to make the list.
Meanwhile, the crown for the best saucy (dry) noodles was claimed by Indomie’s iconic Mi Goreng Instant Fry Noodles, while the best spicy instant noodles was the ever-popular Nongshim Shin Noodle Ramyun.
