A saleswoman at a vape shop in Selangor had fall victim to sexual harassment after a man in a military uniform allegedly grab hold of her hand and sucks her finger.

According to Berita Harian, the incident took place at 1 p.m. on Tuesday (5 October) at a vape shop in Taman Keramat, Ulu Klang, Selangor and the entire incident was captured by the CCTV in place.

Ampang Jaya District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Farouk Eshak said the man in uniform had approached the 18 year-old salesperson to buy vape items.

After completing his purchase, the man left the shop but later came back and said that the vape pod he bought was not functioning. The salesperson then inspected the vape pod and offered to replace it with a new one.

In the CCTV footage, the salesperson can be seen taking a puff from a vape pod before handling it to the man. The man then took the opportunity and grab hold of the woman’s hand and put her fingers in his mouth while smoking on the vape.

“When the victim handed over the vape pod, the suspect took the opportunity to hold the victim’s hand and also licked the victim’s hand.” Mohamad Farouk said.

“After the victim said there was a closed circuit television (CCTV) camera, the suspect immediately released the victim’s hand and fled the scene.”

“Following the incident, the victim lodged a police report at the Hulu Klang Police Station on Wednesday (6 October).”

“Investigations are currently ongoing and we are in the process of obtaining personal details as well as locating the suspect.” he said.

Meanwhile, he said the case is being investigated under Section 354 of the Penal Code for assault or use of criminal force to a person with intent to outrage modesty.

Mohamad Farouk also urge those who have further information on the matter to contact the investigating officer Inspector Siti Zaleha Abdullah at 03-4289 7222 or the nearest police station.
