Last Thursday (16 September), a nurse working at the Kulim Hospital in Kedah has discovered a spy camera being installed in the bathroom of a ward.
According to Harian Metro, Kulim district police chief Supt Sazalee Adam said the nurse spotted a mini camera which placed inside a tissue box that was mounted on the wall after she heard the sound of something falling on the floor.
The nurse was at uneased after she discover the spy camera and has lodged a police report following her discovery.

Sazalee added that the incident happened at 6.20 p.m., while the suspect was being nabbed by the police at 7.20 p.m. on the same day.
“The 35 year-old suspect was arrested in front of a hospital ward.” he said when being contacted by Harian Metro yesterday (18 September).
Meanwhile, the police has confiscated a mobile phone, two SIM cards, a memory card and a cable from the suspect.

Sazalee also revealed that the suspect is one of the Kulim Hospital staff and he works as an assistant.
During the investigation, the suspect admitted that the spy camera was his and he have purchased the camera through a ecommerce platform a month ago.
The suspect also claimed that he mounted the camera at 5 p.m. on the same day when the nurse found it.
Nonetheless, Sazalee said the police are still conducting their investigation into the incident.
He added that the case is being investigated under Section 509 of the Penal Code for insulting the modesty of a woman by word, through sound, gesture, or exhibition of any object.
It is also being investigated under Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act 1955 for insulting behaviour.
