“I have many witnesses, don’t change the story!”
Tunku Mahkota Johor (TMJ), Tunku Ismail Idris has called out to the Youth and Sports Minister, Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu to stop making up excuses for his statement which said the Ministry had budgeted a whooping RM10 million for repairing the field at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium (SNBJ).
Previously, TMJ had raised a question on the overall budged needed to build the new field in the said Stadium.

He then said the Ministry’s budget for the project was too high as he only needed RM1.4 million to build a field using Zoysia grass at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium, which is complete with a piping system, drainage, soil, among others.
In response, Ahmad Faizal said he may have given the wrong information to TMJ previously.
He explained that the total budget of RM10 million proposed includes the cost of repairing football fields across the nation, including the Bukit Jalil National Stadium.

“It is true that I had a meeting and talked about several things with TMJ, including about improving football fields throughout the country, not just in Bukit Jalil National Stadium.”
“I guess there’s a possibility my statement may not be so accurate but the thing being discussed is for fields across the country, not just the field at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium.”
“The matter was often reminded by TMJ to me, even after the discussion I was often reminded to focus on upgrading football fields in stadiums throughout Malaysia.” Ahmad Faizal said, as reported by Harian Metro.
Meanwhile, TMJ, who is also the owner of the football club Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT), does not buy in to the explanation given by the Youth and Sports Minister.
He left a comment on an Instagram post shared by @malayantigerfans, saying, “I had many witnesses that night. When I asked how much is the budget for the SNBJ field, he said RM10 million. So, don’t change the story.”
However, Ahmad Faizal has yet to give his comments on the allegation made by the Johor Prince.
