Two teenagers were killed after a four-wheel-drive vehicle driving against the traffic flow had crashed into their vehicle early this morning (12 September).

It was also reported that the accident took place at KM 8.5 of the Federal Highway.

According to NST, Selangor Fire and Rescue Department Director, Noraza said his department received an emergency call at 1.51 a.m. about the incident and they have immediately rushed to the scene.

At the scene, they saw a Mitsubishi Triton, driven by a man, had collided into a Proton Wira.

“In the collision, the female driver and her male passenger were trapped in their respective front seats.”

“It took us half an hour to extricate them and a health department medical officer who was present pronounced them dead.” he said.

The bodies have then been handed over to the police for further action.

The victims of the accident were identified as Nur Afiqah Abdul Karim, 18, and Muhammad Hafiz Syamir Dzul Asri, 19, from Klang and Port Klang, respectively.

Meanwhile, the 24-year-old Mitsubishi Triton driver remained unhurt in the accident.

At the same time, the press reported that the driver is under the influence of drugs when he rammed his car into the Proton Wira, causing the death of the 2 teenagers.

According to The Star, Shah Alam OCPD, Asst Comm Baharudin Mat Taib said the urine test from the 24 year-old driver showed he was positive for marijuana.

He added that the suspect has been remanded for 6 days and the case has been classified as death due to reckless and dangerous driving.

He also said the 2 victims were believed to be friends.
