BKC payments were made three times this year

Following the announcement by the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob on the Covid-19 Bantuan Khas Covid-19 (BKC) today, the Ministry of Finance has channeled the allocation to the bank on the same day for processing.

The Minister of Finance, Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz said, Phase 1 of the BKC is beneficial to 4.4 million households, 1.1 million senior citizens (single/single) and 4.5 million single individuals will be paid in installments ranked starting September 6, 2021 (Monday).

For B40 recipients, payments will be credited from next Monday and for M40 recipients involving an allocation of RM3.1 billion, payments will be made from September 9, 2021 (Thursday).

According to him, for those who do not have an account, payment will be made from September 6.

For B40 households, including the hardcore poor who earn less than RM5,000, a payment of RM500 will be credited, while single individuals/senior citizens, including the hardcore poor who earn less than RM2,500, will receive RM200.

For M40 households earning between RM5,001 to RM9,000, a payment of RM250 will be credited while single individuals/senior citizens earning between RM2,501 to RM5,000 will receive RM100.

Tengku Zafrul said BKC payments are scheduled to be made in September, November and December this year.
