AirAsia Group’s launch a new e-hailing service AirAsia Ride, which is also part of its mobile Super App.
The company announced that it is offering a special discount to commemorate the service’s launch, as well as to celebrate the upcoming Merdeka festivities.
AirAsia Ride was formed after the group’s acquisition of local e-hailing company Dacsee were offering competitive prices and a variety of ride types available to users.
Currently, the service is said to have around 1,500 registered drivers, with around 5,000 more to join within the next six months as it continues to expand nationwide. AirAsia also plans to implement its Super App’s BIG Points system and the option to pre-book rides via the service in a future update.
As for the promotion, Super App users may claim the RM10 discount by entering the promo code FREERIDE during booking. An interesting choice of code word, despite the fact that you still have to pay any remaining balance if your ride exceeds RM10. AirAsia noted that the discount is applicable for one ride throughout the promo period and is also limited to the first 500 users everyday.
AirAsia assures users that all drivers registered under AirAsia Ride are fully vaccinated and have been tested beforehand. Additionally, it noted that all cars will also come readily equipped with air purifiers and onboard hand sanitisers to further ensure customer safety.
