Those who wanted some extra flavour and “kick” in their KFC fried chicken, this is some great news for you!
KFC Malaysia had just announced that they are releasing a newly formulated Extra Hot And Spicy Chicken in conjunction with the Merdeka month!
Meanwhile, KFC Malaysia guarantees that the newly formulated Extra Hot and Spicy is to be more spicy and crispy than the original spicy flavour. Fresh chicken pieces are marinated in the new seasoned marinade recipe, then double hand-breaded with its new spice mix batter giving crispier coating to the exterior while retaining juices on the inside.
The brand new Extra Hot and Spicy will be served in special combo options, either 2-pcs Combo or 3-pcs Combo set and it comes with refreshing Coleslaw, Whipped Potato, and Nestle Lemonade or can choose value-for-money Box Meal that includes a Zinger burger and Crispier Fries with a piece of KFC Extra Hot & Spicy Chicken.
Nonetheless, it is also available in the Bucket Combo that includes 6-pcs,9-pcs or 12-pcs chicken with a bag of Kentang Goncang that comes with Hot & Spicy seasonings sachet to sprinkle then shake all over your fries!
According to Chan May Ling, Chief Marketing Officer of KFC Malaysia, she said: “This recipe is inspired by Malaysians and made for Malaysians. KFC hopes to add more “spice” to the National day celebration.”
She also hopes that this level of spiciness will satisfy Malaysians.
In order to give Malaysians something different, apart from the fried chicken, KFC had combined with Extra Hot & Spicy flavors with the fries. This is also the first time KFC introduces something like the Shake Fries (Kentang Goncang), simply sprinkle the fries with the seasoning and shake them up in the bag!
KFC Malaysia also said that the Extra Hot and Spicy combo will be available at all KFC outlets nationwide starting today (26 August). This special menu will only be around during the Merdeka season for all to indulge in.
