Yesterday (17 August), the Yang di-Pertuan Agong had met with the leaders of all political parties after Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin tendered his resignation letter.

It was revealed that the King had requested the political leaders to stop the old politics and instead, work on creating a new form of politics to manage and steer the country out of Covid-19.

According to FMT, Opposition leader, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said that the King had reminded all political leaders that the country is facing a health, political and economic crisis, and he decreed that all parties should work together to address this issue.

“It means that the winner should not act like they used to be – to strip the loser of everything.” he said.
