Yesterday (11 August), a man in Penang allegedly masturbated in front of a female employee at a convenience store in Jalan Tun Sardon, Balik Pulau.
It was also reported that the man’s action was caught by the shop’s closed-circuit television (CCTV) and was being circulated on social media too.
According to Malaysian Gazette, Barat Daya District Police Chief, Superintendent Kamrul Rizal Jenal confirmed the incident and that they have received a police report from a teenage girl who witness the incident.
He explained that the preliminary investigation found that the suspect had entered the shop at 8 p.m. yesterday (11 August), when the teenage girl, who was an employee of the convenience store, was alone.
The suspect allegedly entered the shop and started talking about condoms before walking towards a rack displaying tissue papers.
“When he reached the area, the suspect suddenly unzipped his pants and began masturbating.”
“The employee was shocked by what she saw and immediately rushed to hide in the storeroom to prevent any the incident from escalating further.” he said.
He added that the suspect left the scene after 30 minutes.
However, there were no arrests so far as Kamrul said the police are still tracking down the suspect.
He added that the case will be investigated under Section 377D of the Penal Code for gross indecency.
Meanwhile, he urge the members of Public who had information regarding the incident to come forward and assist in the investigation. The public can do so by making a report at the nearest available police station.
The suspect was spotted to be wearing a helmet and a face mask while at the convenience store.
