Another attempt to Woo Opposition MPs to support the PN Government

NewsAnother attempt to Woo Opposition MPs to support the PN Government

The Malaysian politics are currently facing a crisis, whereby it is still not sure who has the majority support in the Dewan Rakyat. The issue had been even more obvious after the recent happenings in the Dewan Rakyat, where Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin had used whatever method to buy himself time before he prepares for the vote of confidence in Parliament this September.

After the “Durian RM30” incident, the issue of “political offerings” had became the latest topic among Malaysians and unfortunately, that incident is not the only one that is happening around.

On Sunday (8 August), Rasah Member of Parliament, Cha Kee Chin claimed that he has received a WhatsApp massage from someone who was pretending to be the Padang Renggas MP, Dato’ Seri Nazri Aziz, and to offer him to defect to support the Perikatan National (PN) government.

He took to his Facebook page to share the message he received and captioned “Principle and dignity cannot be sold or bought, when I found out that the person who contacted me was an individual who did not use his real identity and instead disguised himself as DS Nazri Aziz.”

“There was no point in me continuing to communicate with him, I just blocked the number. DS Nazri Aziz himself has also denied his involvement in this matter.”

Meanwhile, in the conversation, the anonymous started off with some small talk, asking Kee Chin about his family and the current Covid-19 situation in Rasah.

He then said that “Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin” sends his regards and he understands the situation of all parliament members. He then asked Kee Chin whether he is free to have a conversation with the Prime Minister.

“There seems to be a hidden meaning here?” Kee Chin said.

Without any hesitation, the individual replied “There is and there isn’t but what’s important is that we want to help the people.”

“The motive for such a message is clear, which is to save PM8 from voting in Parliament.” Kee Chin commented in his Facebook post.

Having that said, MACC said that they will continue their investigation on all these matter but said that they have yet to identify the person behind all these.

However, it is still great to hear that politicians are willing to stand up against these corrupted act and not join them.
