Following the announcement from Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin yesterday (8 August) on the easing of restrictions for those fully vaccinated individuals, many may have raised the question, which SOP should I follow?
Nonetheless, we do admit that the varying SOPs between the lockdown phases and states can be confusing.
To clarify the matter, all you have to do visit the National Recovery Plan’s official website and select which state you are residing at.
Which Phase your state is at?
Once you have selected your state, the website will showcase which phase of the National Recovery Plan you’re at, whether you are at Phase 1, 2, 3 or 4. The website will highlight the basic SOPs that you are required to follow too.
For example, Selangor is currently in Phase 1, hence, classes will be limited to only online learning and only two from a household can travel within a 10km radius of their home.
Which SOPs apply to me?
At the same time, the website allows you to explore the SOPs of the states which are in other phases of the National Recovery Plan. The basic SOPs, such as travelling, socialising, dining in at restaurants and shopping are stated on the website.
Meanwhile, the detailed SOP will be still available at the official website of the National Security Council (MKN).
Support given to the people
The website had also showcased the various assistance programmes available to Malaysians throughout the lockdown.
Meanwhile, as the SOPs work differently for the public and businesses, they had prepared a ‘Business’ option at the top of the website to ease the business owners to implement them.
Having that said, if you are confused about which phase of the National Recovery Plan you’re in, or which SOP you should follow, reach out to the National Recovery Plan official website for the latest updates.
Share this with those around you and you’ll have all the latest SOPs at your finger tips!
