Padang Rengas Member of Parliament (MP), Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Azi and his family had previously left Malaysia for Paris to enrol their son in school. Nonetheless, Malaysians weren’t so happy about this and criticize him for having a trip overseas while Malaysians are struggling to survive.

In response to the critics, Haflin who is married to Mohamed Nazri took to her Instagram Story and said “You voted for the failed PH government in GE14. Since 2018, I am no longer a Cabinet Minister.”

“I am not charged in the courts for any act of corruption or abuse of power. How is it that I can use the people’s money to spend in France? Tell me. – Nazri Aziz” she added.

Mohamed Nazri had become the subject of criticism among netizens since he and his family had flown to Paris on 1 July for the enrolment.

In another Instagram Story, she quoted Nazri said “I was elected as MP for Padang Rengas in 1995. I have since contested in the constituency for six terms undefeated with a comfortable majority. 80% of voters are Malays, Muslim and village folks. So don’t teach me how to serve and work for my rakyat in Padang Rengas. Not for you and I don’t care.”

After her post, netizens went all out to criticize both Nazri Aziz and his wife, Haflin for not providing assistance for the people who are suffering and instead went for a trip overseas.

“Padang Rengas” has since then went trending on Twitter as netizens flooded the walls with criticisms.

A netizen pointed out that Mohamed Nazri had only won the seat by a 2,548-vote majority in GE14 and he urge the people of Padang Rengas to vote wisely in the next GE.
