M’sians shocked to see a Body hanging on a Flyover, Later Turns Out to be a Dummy

Malaysians who are driving past the Jalan Tun Abdul Razak – Ayer Keroh, Melaka had a shock of their life when they lift their heads up at the flyover in Melaka International Trade Centre (MITC).

What they saw was an object hanging on the flyover, resembling a human body.

According to Kosmo, Melaka Tengah District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Afzanizar Ahmad said that the police had receive a report regarding incident at 7.30 a.m. and they have dispatched a team to rush to the location immediately.

Nonetheless, what they found was an effigy with an anti-government slogan written on the shirt of the effigy. The slogan written was “Kerajaan Pembunuh” which translates to “Government the Killer” and it is sprayed in red.

“As a result of the inspection, we found that the object was a dummy that had been hung on the flyover.”

“The dummy was then successfully taken down at 7.40 a.m.” he said.

Afzanizar added that they are currently tracking down the irresponsible individuals who hung the dummy on the flyover. They believe that it was an intention to provoke the government too.

Afzanizar said that an investigation paper has been opened regarding the incident and the investigation will be conducted in accordance with Section 504 of the Penal Code, intentional insult and provocation that could lead to a breach of public peace.

If found guilty, the accused can be sentenced to up to 2 years of imprisonment or a fine, or both.

With the Covid-19 situation worsening in Malaysia, it is understandable that Malaysians will direct their resentment towards the government for failing to handle the situation.
