The Ideal Convention Center (IDCC) Vaccination Centre (PPV) in Shah Alam had announced its temporary closure for a day after a staff on duty there was tested positive for Covid-19.
The COVID-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF) had released a statement explaining the situation this morning (13 July).
“This immediate closure was done after the COVID-19 test result was obtained last night to enable sanitisation to be carried out,” said CITF.
In addition, the CITF also recommends those who are are present at the IDCC Shah Alam PPV from 29 June to 12 July to conduct a self-assessment and if they are symptomatic, they should undergo a Covid-19 screening test as a precaution.
In the statement, CITF also mention that the IDCC Shah Alam PPV is scheduled to reopen tomorrow once the facility has been completely sanitised.
As for those who were affected, the CITF said that new appointments will be given as soon as possible, adding that further details will be shared from time to time.
