Oh no! Your parcels may be delayed.
Yesterday (10 July), Shopee Malaysia had took to Facebook to announce the temporary closure of their warehouse in Shah Alam.
In the statement, Shopee explained that the temporary closure is meant to implement the additional SOPs imposed by the Ministry Of Health (KKM). Nonetheless, it is mainly due to the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) being imposed in Shah Alam.
Shopee also clarify that this has nothing to do with the alleged Covid-19 cases that went circulating on social media previously.
“The guidance is very helpful and our warehouse will be closed temporarily to implement these added SOPs as quickly as possible. To clarify, the Shopee platform is operating per business as usual and deliveries made by Shopee Express and all our other delivery partners are not affected.” Shopee said.
Shopee said that this could cause some delays in the deliveries via their warehouse, however, this represents only a small portion of the overall orders. Shopee added that buyers whose orders which are affected by the delay will be notified via a push notification in their Shopee account too.
Nonetheless, Shopee reassured Malaysians that this temporary closure will not affect Shopee’s overall platform operations and they will share more updates on the situation via their official social media accounts.
