The Menteri Besar of Selangor Amirudin Shari had previously unveiled the Pakej Kita Selangor 2.0 aimed at providing financial aid to Selangorians. Among the 25 initiatives, one of them were working with Grab to provide a rebate to Selangorians for rides to Vaccination Administration Centres (PPVs).
According to Bernama, the RM20 rebate for using e-hailing to PPVs in Selangor is now open for Selangorians who are eligible for vaccination. It is also expected that almost 50,000 individuals will benefit from this initiative, with an allocation of RM1 million.
The agreed terms with Grab Malaysia was that the all individuals aged 18 and above who travel to vaccination centres will be entitled for the rebate.
“Unlike what I announced on June 9 (through our Kita Selangor Package 2.0), that it is limited to those aged 50 and above, this rebate is now open to all Selangor citizens who are eligible to be vaccinated,” he said.
Nonetheless, Amirudin explain that the transport rebate given for a one-way trip is RM10, while RM20 for a round trip. It will be valid for rides to 40 selected PPVs in Selangor between 1 July to 30 September too.
Selangorians can now claim for the rebate via the official website here.
