A woman in Klang was being locked up by his husband in their apartment at Bandar Bukit Tinggi after she did not prepare breakfast for him.
As reported by Sinar Harian, South Klang district police chief, ACP Shamsul Amar Ramli said that the incident happened around 7.15 a.m. on Monday (14 June), where the 27 year-old victim was being pushed on her head and body by her husband until she fell.
“After that, the victim was being locked at home and her mobile phone was being confiscated by her 28 year-old husband to prevent her from contact anyone.” he added.
Nevertheless, she managed to reach out to her neighbour who lived opposite of their home and asked her to contact the police.
After receiving the report, the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) had dispatched a team of police officers to the location, where they managed to set the victim free. She was taken to the police station to lodge a report.
Later that day, the police officers were able to detain the husband at the same location and he admitted to be involved in the case.
Shamsul also revealed that the husband had a history of criminal record and further investigations will be continued after obtaining the remand application in the Klang Court.
He mentioned that the case is currently being investigated under Section 323 of the Penal Code and Section 18A of the Domestic Violence Act 1994.
