Automatic Registration For COVID-19 Vaccine Is Being Considered

Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin mentioned the Special Committee on COVID-19 Vaccine Supply Access Guarantee (JKJAV) will be reviewing the registration process including allowing automatic sign-ups.

Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, who was speaking during a live televised address this morning, 5 June via his Facebook page, said that he has asked the Special Committee to look into the registration process again.

As per Muhyiddin, automatic registration was among the suggestions to improve the registration process, with some 13 million people eligible for the COVID-19 vaccination having signed up so far.

He instructed JKJAV to review the registration process so it can be further simplified, including automatic registration to ensure as many people as possible get vaccinated.

He also took note of grouses among those who have yet to receive vaccination appointment dates and have instructed JKJAV to ensure those who have registered to get their dates soon.

The Prime Minister was commemorating 100 days since the COVID-19 National Immunisation Programme (NIP) was launched on 24 February

He also said that assistance was being extended to those living in rural areas to register and get vaccinated, especially senior citizens, with all government assets to be deployed for the purpose.
