TV host-entrepreneur, Neelofa and her family members are now being under investigations again after allegedly violating the SOP under the Movement Control Order (MCO) for this Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

The incident came after a video of their family celebrating Hari Raya went viral on social media. The video was posted by Neelofa’s sister, Noor Nabila on her personal Instagram account, which was later deleted.

It is believed that Neelofa and her family had violated the MCO SOP which states that social gatherings and house-to-house visits on Hari Raya Aidilfitri are strictly prohibited throughout the country.

The caption of the video says “1 Syawal yang penuh mulia” which translates to “1st Syawal full of blessings”. Besides Neelofa, other family members had participated in the Raya traditions, including PU Riz, her sister Noor Nabila, her brother-in-law Engku Emran Engku Zainal Abidin, her mother Noor Kartini Noor Mohamed, and her stepfather Abdul Halim Khan Lall Khan.

According to Utusan, Ampang Jaya district police chief, ACP Mohamad Farouk Eshak, it is believed that the celebration took place at Neelofa’s home in Hulu Kelang.

He added that  Ampang Jaya police headquarters have received an official report regarding the incident and it will be investigated under Rule 17 of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Regulations.

Prior to this, Neelofa and the other family members was fined RM60,000 for failure to implement physical distancing measures during her wedding ceremony.
