Sentul Flat Residents threw Firecrackers at PDRM officers after receiving complaints

As everybody knows, fireworks is illegal in Malaysia. However, the Malaysian authorities have given some exceptions to Malaysians for them to legally purchase 36 different kinds of fireworks for this Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations.

Given this privilege, it still does not give us the right to do things that can harm others.

On the Hari Raya Aidilfitri Eve, most have stay at home while waiting for the clock to tick on the midnight. As Malaysians were not allowed to visit anywhere due to the Movement Control Order (MCO), they’ve got fireworks to make this festive celebration merrier.

However, according to the Info Roadblock JPJ/POLIS Facebook page, the police officers had patrol around the Perumahan Awam Seri Perak in Bandar Baru Sentul, Kuala Lumpur after irresponsible parties had caused a disturbance with fireworks.

When the police arrive at the area, the residents threw fireworks at the police officers!

The admin of the Facebook page wrote “Playing with fireworks until it disturbed other residents. PDRM officers arrived after receiving complaints from the residents. But, what is most regrettable, is that they were brave enough to throw firecrackers at the officers.”

Netizens were furious and commented that such behaviour should not be tolerated as the irresponsible parties who threw the firecrackers have intention to harm the police officers.

In addition, they hope that PDRM will investigate and catch the culprits who did this.
