A Instagram influencer was fined RM1,500 for not wearing a face mask in a video he filmed with police and Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) officers.

The video he made was intended to urge the public to comply with the SOP and not to travel interstate during this Hari Raya Aidilfitri. Ironically, he had failed to comply with the SOP to wear a face mask at all times.

The video was uploaded to his Instagram and had garnered 950k views at the time of writing.

Unfortunately, the authorities had went after him after the video went viral. According to Bernama, Putrajaya district police chief, ACP Mohd Fadzil Ali said that the influencer had breached standard operating procedures (SOPs) set by the National Security Council (MKN) and had turned up at the Putrajaya district police headquarters to give his statement.

Fadzil said that the two policemen and an army member involved in the video are working in the SOP compliance team of the Putrajaya IPD Rehabilitation Movement Control Order.

“I have never allowed the video to be recorded or released and no payment or consolation has been received by the police in this regard,” he added.

In addition to that, the scene was recorded in Bukit Rimau, Presint 3, Putrajaya and it can be seen that the influencer is not wearing a face mask, apart from being seen mocking the reasons commonly given by people for interstate travel.
