According to Global Forest Watch, Kelantan had lost 37% of its tree covers since 2002 to 2020. Tanah Merah and Gua Musang contributed the most, with both having a loss of 11% and 44% respectively.

Unfortunately, the locals knew about all these while but nothing can be done to stop it.

While outsiders do not get updates of the situation in the area, a netizen had shared it latest situation on Facebook and commented that pyramids now appear in Kelantan too, it’s not exclusive in Egypt anymore.

Not only had the mountains turned bald, the after effect was that the soil from these mountains were slowly eroding into the rivers, turning the river into milky brown.

The furious netizen wrote “Who is responsible for providing the license to devastate our rainforest?”

She added “These are also the same people that allow our rivers to be polluted. They never cared about the people.”

Looking at the records from Global Forest Watch, the trend isn’t slowing down anytime soon and we may get more of these pyramids very soon.

Most netizens slammed the state government for failing to take action in the comments in the Facebook post.
