In conjunction with the 75th anniversary of the Road Transport Department (JPJ), Transport Minister, Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong said that JPJ is offering a 70% discount on 3.5 million compoundable summonses.
He noted that these discounts will benefit motorist who have been unable to renew their driving licenses or road tax after being blacklisted by JPJ as they would not be able to settle their summonses at a deep discount and subsequently get their name taken off from the black list.
Apart from the discounts, Wee said that JPJ will issue a special “FD” vehicle registration plate to mark the department’s anniversary.
He said bidding for the registration plate numbers will be open for only five days starting tomorrow (12 April), and will close on 10pm on Friday (16 April).
Wee added that the two-letter FD numbers are expected to be popular as FD symbolises those keen on growing their fixed deposit savings.
If you’ve cumulated a number of summonses, here’s you chance to settle it all!
