Ordering food through our smart phones are surely convenient. Just a button and food will arrive at your doorstep after a short period of time.
However, are you aware that someone handling these deliveries will give in their best to make it to you on time, be it a sunny day or a storm rampaging.
Recently, a netizen shared a video of a GrabFood rider waiting patiently in the rain in front of the customer’s car porch as his customer did not show up.
In the video, they’ve commented “This is their rice bowl, show them some pity. If you are ordering while it is raining, be mindful when they are arriving. Don’t make them wait in the rain.”
While some may think that this is a special case that does not represents what all riders went through, one stood up and said that situation like this are common and part of a rider’s life.
One even commented that her husband works as a rider and tears fell from her eyes after watching this video as it reminds her of what her husband went through.
Some netizens commented that we should not place our order when it is raining. However, a delivery rider commented that customers should not stop ordering as this will boost their earnings.
