Since the outbreak of Covid-19, the macroeconomic outlook of countries worldwide had been deteriorating and this forces companies to cut its budget and freezes employment. It is understandably that job opportunities rarely come by and the could be thousands of people applying for the same post.

What’s more disappointing is that some companies are taking advantage of this situation and exploits the applicants by offering “exposure” as a pay.

This job opportunity post was found by a netizen from LinkedIn and they were hiring for a graphic designer.

The requirements of this job isn’t low too, as you are required to have 3 years of experience in Photoshop, Illustrator, and Indesign, and Adobe After Effects. Apart from those, you are required to have a wide range of designing knowledge, which covers logos, icons, infographics and different kind of print works.

Just a little further down the post, you’ll see that there will be no immediate monetary compensation by the company, and their excuse was that the business is not making any revenue.

Ultimately, you will be paid with “exposure”, “personal growth”, “a good resume”, “future career opportunity”.

If you ever come across these kind of recruitment being posted, do not hesitate to report them to the authorities. Let’s start spreading awareness that people should not be exploited and work should be compensated appropriately.
