The app was officially launched today (25 March) by Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador in Bukit Aman.

According to PDRM, they’ve launched this avenue to suit the trend of people shifting to online and phone transactions. The traffic investigation and enforcement department (JSPT) department from PDRM added that on average, it has issued 5.37 million summonses a year (2016-2020) and they’ve got the analysis showing an increasing trend of online payment of summonses.

JSPT’s shows that 46.7% of the fines where paid using e-payment in 2020 as compared to just 18.5% in 2019. The Covid-19 had definitely sped up the digitalisation of Malaysia.
