Attention everyone! WhatsApp had recently released a statement that it will no longer be supporting devices running on IOS 9 and Android 4.0.2 and below, after it’s upcoming update.
In other words, WhatsApp will not work on iPhone 4s and below. The latest version of Whatsapp is 2.2.150, which means that iPhone 4S and the older models that can only be updated to iOS 9 will be eliminated and no longer supported.
WhatsApp also reminds users on the official website that if the device is no longer supported, important data and chat records should be backed up as soon as possible to avoid unavailability after the update.
This is mainly because WhatsApp can only be activated with one phone number on one device at a time. There’s no option to transfer your chat history between platforms and they may be lost forever if you do not back up them.
There’s only a handful of people that use such an old mobile phone now, and if you are really using it, you should probably consider changing your mobile phone as soon as possible. Else, you’ll miss out important information from those that cared about you or your boss in the future, and it will be really bad!
