Malaysians have long kept their anger towards the politicians and VIPs who have violated the SOPs imposed without any repercussions while regular citizens have received fines of up to RM10,000 for some minor offences.
MUDA party, founded by Syed Saddiq has launched a website for the public to lodge complaints about ministers and VIPs who violate movement control order (MCO) regulations.
MUDA said that there seemed to be a double standard in the enforcement of the SOPs and thus, they’ve launched lapormenteri.com. Lapormenteri.com is a platform where you can lodge any complaints about ministers, minister’s family members, politicians or VIPs that have violated the SOPs.
According to FMT, secretary-general Amir Hariri Abdul Hadi said that they’ve receive nearly 50 complaints lodge since the website was launched on Tuesday (16 March).
Amir had reassured that the complainants’ personal details will not be revealed to any party, whether it is the media or police.
All they wanted was photos or videos of those who have violated the SOPs as evidence, and some other information such as when and where the violation occured.
Once the complaint had been verified, they’ll proceed to place it on the “Wall of Shame” of the website. Apart from that, MUDA will lodge police reports and urge the authorities to take action against these violators.
