With the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) ending soon on 18 March, Defence Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob had announced the changes in the Green Zones and the SOPs today.
The very first announcement he made was that the CMCO placed in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Penang, and Kelantan will be extended to 31 March 2021. Whereas the other states including Kedah, Perak, and Negeri Sembilan are now under the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO).
Ismail had emphasized that interstate travel is still not allowed except between RMCO states and it is strictly for tourism purposes only. On the other hand, interdistrict travel is allowed in all states except for Sabah and Sarawak.
The Ramadan month is here soon and in lieu of that, Ismail had announced that Bazaar Ramadan will now be allowed to operate throughout Malaysia. Once again, Ismail had reminded the public that strict SOPs will apply on both the stall owner and the customer.
Among the SOPs that should be in place is the Bazaar should have only one entrance and exit and traffic flows only a side, registering yourself with MySejahtera at the entrance, having a limit on visitors at a time and the Bazaar can only operate from 3p.m. to 8p.m.
Ismail added that the detailed SOPs for Hari Raya Aidilfitri will be announced on a later day.
