Recently, there was a video about undelivered parcels being abandoned in a graveyard that went viral on the internet.
These parcels were found at Jeram, Kampung Bukit Kuching Tengah and when found, the trash had already been piled up to a small hill.
In the short 16 and 26 second video, we can see that the parcels remained sealed and some are even still in the bubble wraps.
According to Sinar Harian, the Chairman of Majlis Pengurusan Komuniti Kampung (MPKK), Saharudin Zam Zam said that he received complains of illegal dumping in the area and he went there to inspect them on 22 February 2021.
He stated that he noticed that around 80% of the parcels come from the same courier company. He then contacted the said courier company and they’ve denied that the parcels belong to them, even though with their logo on it.
Unfortunately, the pile of parcels had been burned by irresponsible parties and there were no evidence left. Sharudin Zam Zam commented that he is does not know the motive of the parties involved. It could be a sabotage from a third party too.
He did not make a police report of what the found as there are insufficient evidence to charge whoever the party is.
